The Kentucky Courts project consists of 38 units that include 18 “stacked” townhouses, 18 condominium flats, and 2 single three-story townhouses. Located in the District of Columbia, the townhouses face 14th Street, Kentucky Avenue and C Street, with the main entrance to the project located on C Street.

The mixed income community opened in 2004, replacing condemned public housing units. Abramson Properties combined contemporary structures with classic Victorian details to create a community that blends perfectly with the existing neighborhood. The homes have been dubbed the “hat houses” by residents because of the overhanging turret roofs that look like hats or umbrellas.
